Nor-Gwyn Baseball and Softball is proud to host a first annual Cornhole Tournament for its community on October 2nd! This tournament is a Round Robin format that guarantees every team will play four games. After the round robin, the brackets are ranked by record and points, and a single elimination playoff bracket is played with the top sixteen teams. Please note: both team members MUST be registered at the same time and you must provide a team name on the registration form. Registration must be received by 12pm on September 29th.
Spectators are welcome to enjoy the day with us! We will have food trucks, a snow cone truck and adult beverages for those of age!
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Nor-Gwyn Baseball and Softball organization and its activities. Nor-Gwyn is partnering with For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation to manage this event as part of the FPS Cornhole for Cancer program. Therefore, Nor-Gwyn will donate a portion of the proceeds from this event to support the FPS Travel Respite and Staycation Respite programs. We all know cancer; therefore, players and spectators can designate a cornhole court in honor or memory of a loved one with a $50 donation directly to For Pete’s Sake to support families facing cancer. You will find this on the registration form and an FPS staff member will follow up to capture the details about your court dedication!
Please check back closer to the date of the event for further details about this event. Also please note, if you are unable to make the rain date, registration fees are non-refundable. If you are having difficulty registering, please contact For Pete’s Sake at email@example.com or call (267) 708-0510 for assistance.
Nor Gwyn needs volunteers to help with this event and assist the FPS staff. If you would like to help in any way, please contact Bob Hamlin at 215.327.3504. Volunteer training is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, September 28th and will be a 45 minute in-person/ video call.
