Tournament Day Information

We hope you are looking forward to play this Friday! We are excited to say that the weather looks good for the tournament and we will be hosting it as scheduled at Excursion Park. To help us run a smooth, enjoyable tournament, we have prepared an outline for the event that is available here that includes directions, cornhole rules, and general information.  Also, for registration purposes, we ask that you look at this document to learn if you are assigned to the A bracket or B bracket. When you arrive, head to the registration tent to check-in. Bracket A will register on the left side and Bracket B will register on the right side of the tent. Come hungry, as Bubba Dogs is providing hot dogs in exchange for a donation to For Pete’s Sake!

Should you have any questions, please call our Cornhole for Cancer Coordinator, Megan Waltrich, at 484-942-0976.

Maryanne Pastry Shoppe is hosting this fundraising tournament in memory of our late family member, Peter R. Bossow, Jr., a SIC lifeguard, in support of the many families that FPS has helped over the years.

All registrants will receive a coupon for a free donut and coffee at the bakery to thank them for their participation in the event. Winners receive gift certificates for a trip on the Miss Avalon Luxury Yacht! The Kuttler family invites other Sea Isle families and cornhole players of all ages to be a part of this fun, family friendly event that will raise funds for the FPS Travel and Staycation Respite Programs.

This tournament is a Round Robin format that guarantees every team will play four games.  The bracket is then ranked after the round robin by record and points, and a single elimination playoff bracket is made with the top eight teams. Please note: both team members MUST be registered at the same time and you must provide a team name at time of registration on the form. Registration must be received by 12pm on July 8th.

Can’t make the tournament? Make a donation to FPS here or sponsor a court in honor or memory of a loved one through the registration link below.

A big thank you to our current sponsors- Avalon Fishing Center, CeCe Boutique, Global Packaging, Larry Robinson and Sons Builders-Contractors Inc, O’Connor Landscaping and Wawa!

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS) enables cancer patients and their loved ones to strengthen, deepen and unify their relationships by creating unforgettable and lasting respite experiences.  With the Travel Respite Program, we provide adult cancer patients, their caregivers and their children with an opportunity to spend transformational time together in an environment away from their home.

By participating in this cornhole tournament, you can directly contribute to our next group of patients going on respite next month. Register today to support the FPS mission and help families take a break from cancer!
